The Family Arena in St. Charles will commence its annual “Lot of Lights” event in late November.
This one-mile drive-through holiday light show showcases a number of light displays, with some over 40 feet high. It also has installations created with projection mapping, a process that generates light images onto surfaces, sets, and arches. There will also be holograms and a drive-through laser tunnel. Other special effects include a theatrical snow, blinking lights, and theatrical fog.
The experience will last about 25 minutes depending on traffic. Organizations that buy sponsorships early enough can have their Logo Design or company name displayed in lights.
Concessions will be available at the park entrance, and they will be brought to your car. Items that can be purchased include hot chocolate, kettle corn, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, popcorn, marshmallow crispy bars, water, Coke, and Sprite. Each concession will cost $3.
Cars can enter the event for $25, and larger vehicles, such as limousines and vans, will pay $40.
Lot of Lights will be located at Family Arena, 2002 S. River Road, and its opening day will be November 27th. Sunday through Thursday the event will be open from 5:30pm until 10:00pm. On Fridays, Saturdays, and on Christmas Eve, hours will be extended to 11:00pm. The light show will close on January 2, 2021.
