St. Charles rides for kids' charity

The local Kiwanis will be hosting its annual cycling for Our Children event in August. The ride will be just for fun, catering for all riding skills and ages while raising money for a local charity.

Cyclists can choose from four distances: 60, 32, 24 and 12 miles. The courses will take riders through the northern part of St. Charles County. Fruit, bottled water, and breakfast bars will be at the beginning and end of the ride.

The 12-mile route starts at Mueller Road, goes to Newtown, continues on Church Street, Orchard, Blaise Station Road and then back to Mueller along the same route in reverse order.

The 60-mile ride will have mechanical support provided by Momentum Cycles and volunteer sag support available along the route. The course will start at Mueller Road, go to Old Town St. Peters, and return to Mueller Park.

All riders are encouraged to set up fundraising goals and gain gifts such as water bottles, and Momentum Cycles gift cards.

Registration can be done online or at the event. Registration at the event will be from 5:15 am to 7:15 am with the ride beginning at 7:30 am. All registrants will get T-Shirts sporting the event, water bottles, and event Bags no doubt containing Promotional Products.

The Cycling for Our Children bike ride will be Saturday, August 11 starting at 3801 Mueller Road at 7:30 am.
