Fete Des Petite Cotes or Festival of the Little Hills will take place in mid-August again this year. The name reflects back to the settlement that was here before we became known at St. Charles. The free 3-day event organizers are expecting over 300,000 in attendance.
Over 300 crafters will be manning booths on Main Street and in Frontier Park. They will be selling their original works and demonstrating their skills. There will be art, fabrics, clothing, photography, candles, soaps, plants, florals, folk art, jewelry, metal work, pottery, ceramics, wood to name a few types of items. Many crafters often bring Business Cards for those who wish to contact them later.
Live music will entertain the guests at locations around the grounds. The groups performing on Friday and Saturday will include King Benny, Accolade, St. Charles Municipal Band, The Tub Thumpers, Borderline and The Driftaways. The St. Charles Municipal Jazz Band, Catfish Willie, and the 4th Street Band are on the line-up for Sunday.
Shuttles from Duchesne High School, St. Charles West High School, Executive Personal Computers, and CubeSmart Self Storage will run during the three days.
Local non-profits will be selling treats and children will get their own Kids’ Corner.
Festival of the Little Hills will take place in the Historic Saint Charles Downtown District, Friday August 16th from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Saturday August 17th from 9:30 am until 10:00 pm and Sunday August 18th from 9:30 pm until 5:00 pm.
