St. Charles Moolah Shriners present annual parade and circus

Fleets of colorful little cars will be cruising down South Riverside Drive in March as part of the 77th Annual Moolah Shrine Parade.

Clowns will entertain the crowds as floats and bands march by. This will be the kick-off to the St. Louis Moolah Shrine Circus. The staging area for the parade will be at the intersection of Riverside and Clark Streets at the Ace Building. The parade will march down Riverside and finish at the Boathouse on the corner of Riverside ad Boones Lick.

The Moolah Shrine Circus will have eight performances. Trapeze artists, energetic clowns, tigers and elephants will perform in the Big Top’s three rings. Other entertainment will be $10 elephant, pony, camel and train rides, snake photos and $5 face painting and the giant slide. Of course, there will be plenty of traditional circus fare – snow cones, peanuts, cotton candy and popcorn.

Tickets range from $18.50 to $38.00. Family-oriented businesses like to give tickets to events such as this as Corporate Gifts.

Proceeds from the circus will go to the Shriners Hospitals for Children- a system of 22 pediatric hospitals that specialize in helping children under the age of 18.

The Shrine Circus Parade will step off at 11 am, March 9th.

The Moolah Shrine Circus will be from March 21st to March 24th at the Family Arena, 2002 Arena Parkway, St Charles.
