Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce will once again be hosting its annual Santa’s North Pole Dash in early December.
Around 3,000 participants usually line up for the annual 5k and the one-mile walk.
Pre-registration is being conducted online and holiday-themed long-sleeved shirts and medals will be mailed. Groups of 20+ will get discounts. Virtual runs are also available. Race day registration will be $45 for the 5k and $40 for the one-mile walk, but shirts and medals will not be guaranteed. This year’s theme for the shirts will be The Nutcracker.
Personalized bibs will be available to those registering before Halloween. Bibs can be picked up at the St. Charles Fleet Feet Store, 3813 Mexico Road from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on December 3 and 4. They can also be acquired on race day at Main and First Capitol from 7:00 am until 8:30 am.
Race time will be 8:30 am and the course will take runners from the intersection of Jefferson and Riverside Drive through Historic St. Charles. Runners can mingle and commiserate at the annual after party.
Children under eight years old will have the opportunity to run in their own Snowman Shuffle. Registration will be $20. They, too, will receive long-sleeved shirts sporting this year’s event graphic design if they register in the first 1,000 entries.
Santa’s North Pole Dash and Kids Snowman Shuffle will take place December 5.
