Dinosaur lovers head for Jurassic Quest

For those who love dinosaurs, Jurassic Quest is an event not to be missed. The show, hailed as the most realistic and largest dinosaur event ever, will be coming to St. Charles in early November.

Attendees will walk among 80 life-size animated dinosaurs from the Cretaceous, Jurassic, and Triassic periods. Paleontologists have been consulted to create detailed dinosaur replicas – skin, feathers, fur, scales, and all. The dinosaurs move and roar, and a few even walk around.

The dinosaurs that walk around are mostly pre-teen, adolescents, and babies. These animatronics pose for pictures, nibble at clothing, and can play pranks on the guests. The Dinosaur Petting Zoo allows little ones to pet the smaller dinosaurs.

The parents of children that take have their pictures taken with animated animals and characters at events like this often take the images to local Print shops for duplicates to send to friends and relatives.

Attendees can dig for fossils and ride dinosaurs, such as the spiky Carnotaurus or the 24-foot T-Rex. Dinosaur-themed rides are scattered throughout the venue. Some of these include inflatable mazes, a multitrack Dino Bungee Pull, and gigantic slides. Children can also take part in crafts and explore dinosaur facts at Dino Science Stations.

The Dinosaur Museum will display real dinosaur fossils that are over 60 million years old.

Jurassic Quest will be held on November 13th at the Saint Charles Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Plaza, St. Charles.
