The St. Charles Oktoberfest is considered to be one of the most popular Bavarian-themed festivals in the country. After 39 years, it will once again be returning this September to significant fanfare.
This event is free to attend, and open to the entire family. While a significant amount of emphasis will be placed on local breweries, there are plenty of other attractions guests can enjoy.
This year's Oktoberfest provides the a bratwurst eating contest, an antique car show, a 5K/10K marathon known as "The Worst Race Ever,” and live music provided by local bands Panther and DrawlSTL.
Adults can also participate in the Raise the Stein competition; an event that determines who can hold a full beer stein in front of their body for the longest. A popular contest in the past, it seems certain to draw a crowd once again.
Coordinators of events such as this employ several techniques to advertise what is in store. Local printing services, timely social media announcements, and Brochures are some proven examples.
Oktoberfest is taking place over the September 26 to 28 weekend. All events are being held at Frontier Park at 500 Riverside Drive, St. Charles 63301. While free to attend, VIP perks such as parking and access to private restrooms can be purchased at the St. Charles Oktoberfest website.
