The people who created AnimeSTL are organizing an anime-themed pop-up exhibition.
More than 35 vendors from local shops and artists will be set up. The vendors will have a number of treats available, including a combination of Asian-American and Japanese cuisine. Vendors tend to use poster printing to advertise their wares, perhaps using anime-inspired graphic design.
Ticket prices are the same for both advance purchases and those made at the door, but advance tickets are recommended because spaces are limited, check-in will be faster, and the vendors will be better prepared. Patrons are advised to bring printed tickets or e-tickets on their phones with them for speedy admissions. Badges can be purchased at the door as well.
The venue comes with free parking. These spots may fill up, in which case patrons will be able to park at parking spots nearby and take the city trolley to the event space. There is no minimum age for attendance, although people under the age of 16 are advised to attend with a parent or guardian.
Cosplay is encouraged, although props should be left at home because of space limitations. Anyone who needs to cancel a ticket bought in advance and wants a refund should contact the organizers.
The Anime Conbini Mart will be on Saturday, October 15 at the St. Charles Convention Center. Ticket prices range from $5 to $15.
