St. Louis to hold blues concert and festival
Soulard Park in St. Louis will host a one-day blues and beer-tasting festival in May.
The Soulard Blues, Brews & Bites Festival is a community event for those who appreciate the blues genre. Many performers will participate in the concert, including the Kingdom Brothers, Bob Kamoske, and John McVey. There will also be a performance from Marsha Evans & The Coalition. Guests may join a harmonica workshop for beginners taught by Eric McSpadden. Those interested in taking the course must bring their own harmonicas to the festival.
Many vendors will attend the fest to ensure people can stay in the park for meals. The line-up for the event will include restaurants like Hammerstones and Joanies To Go. People can pay to partake in a craft beer-tasting activity, and those who take part in the experience will receive a commemorative koozie and glass. There will even be art vendors at the festival, such as The Bead Box and Motek Jewelry. Merchants at fests like this may bring business cards to their event spaces to share their contact information with other people.
The fest will be on May 21 from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. Admission to the concert is free, though people can still show their support for the event by donating or sponsoring the experience. Those interested in volunteering at the fest can take on tasks like being a stage assistant or cleaning up after the event is done.
