St. Louis convention to showcase toy vendors
The Sheraton Lakeside Chalet in St. Louis will hold a three-day toy show and auction in February.
The 42nd Gateway Mid America Toy Show is a convention where consumers can browse numerous vendors. There will be over 150 tables at the toy-themed event. This year, the show will include companies such as Backhus Farm Toys & Collectibles, So Mo Toy Truck & Tractor Parts, and Heartland Custom Farm Toys. Attendees can also take part in an auction on the second day of the convention. Lester Crandall will be the auctioneer.
Eventgoers can even take part in a competition held by the Gateway Farm Toy Club. The Model & Display Contest challenges participants to create a toy in a set time limit. Challengers who enter the Scratch Built category must create an original toy without a manufactured toy start. The Customized category allows competitors to use a manufactured toy as a base for their creation. Participants will be separated by age, and all entries to the contest must be farm-related.
The toy show will be held from Friday, February 2 to Sunday, February 4. The show will open on Friday at 10:00am and close on Sunday at 2:00pm. Those interested in the toymaking competition must contact the organizers in advance for a registration form. Conventions such as this can be promoted to the public with banner printing services.
