The Central branch of the St. Louis Public Library will host an event in December led by an author on the paranormal.
From Brews to Boos: The History and Hauntings of the Lemp Family with Troy Taylor is a program where people can meet with an experienced author while learning facts about local history. The presentation will feature information about the Lemp Family's legacy and the haunted allegations surrounding their grand mansion. The event will also discuss the city's brewing heritage. Guests who are 21 and older can receive a complimentary beer from Schlafly Beer.
Troy Taylor is a writer and paranormal investigator who is the co-host of the American Hauntings Podcast. Taylor also owns the American Oddities Museum and founded the American Hauntings Ink organization. He has written several Books, including Beyond the Grave: The History of America's Most Haunted Graveyards and Haunted Alton: History and Hauntings of the Riverbend Region. Taylor even wrote books about New Orleans, Chicago, and Springfield.
The lesson on St. Louis' paranormal history will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The event will take place in the library's Lower Level Auditorium and is free for guests to join. Registration is needed for Taylor's program. Libraries that hold author visits similar to this may use flyer printing to promote their special guests to patrons.
