St. Louis arts center to organize filmmaking camp
The Center of Creative Arts (COCA) in St. Louis will hold a program for children about moviemaking in June.
The Animation and Live Action program is an experience for kids interested in movies that combine drawn elements with real-world settings. The activity will teach children about the differences between animated and live approaches to filmmaking, and show attendees how the two media can work together. Campers can write a script for their movies while also performing tasks like directing, acting, and editing. The instructor of the program is Neal Brown.
COCA is a community arts center that uses the power of art to help St. Louis become more vibrant, inclusive, and connected. The structure is located in the University City Loop and is home to the Catherine B. Berges Theatre. The facility also has multidisciplinary studio spaces for people in COCA’s dance, theatre, and voice programs. Guests can even view exhibitions in COCA’s Millstone Gallery. Artistic centers such as this can increase hype for their programming by advertising their events with printing services.
The Animation and Live Action program will be held from Tuesday, June 21 to Friday, June 24 at the Millstone Gallery. Each session will last from 9:15 am to noon. Registration for the camp will start at $144. The price of the program will include all art supplies and technology required for the experience.
