Historic St. Louis estate now open to public
Party planners, wedding experts, and others who want a posh place for an event are in luck, the Busch mansion is now open to the public, and can be booked for special events.
The estate, located next to Grant's Farm in south St. Louis County, is the property of the Busch family, of Anheuser-Busch brewing fame. August A. Busch Sr., the son of Adolphus Busch, who partnered with Eberhard Anheuser to found the brand, acquired the property in 1903. Until now, only family members and invited guests were able to explore the estate.
However, those members of the Busch family who own the property have decided to open it to the public. The estate is unoccupied except on those occasions when the family uses it for special events.
There are a number of options available for those who want to book the venue for a wedding or event. The “Big House” has 26 rooms, 14 baths, and can hold 75 guests. Those staying in the house will be able to move around inside it and will have access to the patio. The tennis courts and lawn are also for rent.
Family members might consider working with brochure printers to create booklets about the house to distribute to event planners in the St. Louis area.
