Local food market to return to Mound

The New Mound Farmers’ Market will be opening up another season this May, highlighting local food vendors and growers.

The market has become a community institution featuring booths and food trucks representing local vendors. In addition to produce and meat, booths offer artwork, coffee, lotion, and soap. Familiar vendors from last year’s market include Bickerstaff Bees, Jules Creation MN, and Pig N’ Pumpkins.

The 2026 season will include a number of new vendors, including an organic vegetable farmer and a crepe truck. The market will open early for breakfast service, including baked goods, waffles, sausages, and more. The market area also includes an information desk and the chance to purchase branded tote Bags.

The New Mound Farmers’ Market runs every week through the summer months, with items available shifting based on availability and growing conditions. Farmers’ markets often use methods like banner printing and special events to help draw in new customers and create a sense of community spirit.

Advertising for the Market emphasizes its locally grown nature, saying:

“The Mound Farmers Mkt & More strives to bring you locally grown fresh produce [...] & a variety of unique handmade products created by local artisans. Stop in weekly to see what’s new as local crops come into season & new vendors join us.”

The 2026 New Mound Farmers Market season will start on Saturday, May 23 and continue every Saturday until the fall.
