The boutique will be a large marketplace that is open for six days, and features over 80 vendors. Items on sale include household decorations, winter clothing like mittens and hats, edible treats, and unique gifts for all ages ranging from Books to jewelry. There will also be hot food available to enjoy while shopping. Vendors at events like this often offer special deals or promotional products to celebrate the occasion.
This will be the 31st annual edition of the Boutique, which has been a staple of the Mound community and in particular those involved in the Gillespie Center. The Center provides homecooked meals, health services, and social, cultural and educational programming for people over the age of 50.
There will be silent auction baskets contributed by the local community, with proceeds benefiting the Center’s programming. The group, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, described its role:
“We provide a supportive environment, culture, and space to enrich the lives of our community members of all ages. We envision a thriving community!”
The 2025 Gillespie Holiday Boutique will take place from December 1 to 6 at Gillespie Center in Mound, with reduced hours on the final day.
