Ham Lake locals can attend a live show at the Maxx Bar & Grill in January that features two talented groups.
Thomas Larson is the first of two acts that will be making an appearance at an evening winter concert. He is a skilled guitarist and vocalist who plays country and rock music. Larson is also a member of the Thomas Larson Band, a four-member group consisting of other musicians like Mike Contreras and Craig Hill. He has been booked at many venues, including Wicked Wort Brewing, Heavy Rotation Brewing, and Buck 54 Bar and Grill.
The second act at the show is Pirates, Guitars & Beachfront Bars, a band started by Jim Johnson and his friends Dave, Mark, and Jack. The group combines elements of rock with the tropical vibes of performers like Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffett. They perform several hits, such as Can't Get Enough of Your Love and If I Had a Million Dollars. The band has even created several original tracks, like Beaten With a Coconut and Starfish On My Back.
Thomas Larson and Pirates, Guitars, & Beachfront Bars will play on Friday, January 27. The performance will begin at 8:00 pm. Registration is not required to see either band play, and no tickets need to be purchased.
