Tribute band to perform in Ham Lake

A bar and grill in Ham Lake will be inviting an ‘80s rock group to perform in February.

Fans of the decade can attend a concert at the Maxx Bar & Grill by the Rock Godz. The group is known for their over-the-top shows and covers of popular groups such as Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Led Zeppelin. The band has played in several cities across Minnesota, including Anoka, Ramsey, and Stacey. The Rock Godz have also shared the stage with notable acts like Great White and Skid Row. The performers have even toured with Wild Side and Hairball.

Rock Godz is a group made up of four performers – Sam Weulander, Jimmy Tang, Johnny Strutt, and Teres. Weulander is the founder of the band who started playing music at 16. He has performed in several acts throughout his career, such as Jonah and the Whales, Shameless Desire, and Mortal Chaos. Russ Lund occasionally plays in the band as a substitute and handles the group’s promotional materials. Lund was a part of Hairball and now mainly performs in Free Fallin: A Tribute to the Legacy of Tom Petty.

The Rock Godz will be performing on Friday, February 3. No cover charge is needed to see the group’s show. Those who hold live performances similar to this may promote their concerts to the community by using poster printing services to produce advertisements.
