“The North Metro Networking Association was created to bring business people together that want to grow their business and income. It’s no secret that successful people build alliances that get them in front of buyers. We are looking to meet with people that are in sells, on commission, small business owners or anyone that wants to get their message out.” (sic.)
Of course, the introduction does also confirm that the North Metro Networking Association is a one industry per professional group. Even after pointing this out, however, the same group is quick to explain that just because the group’s exclusive doesn’t mean professionals in similar industries can’t attend these meet-ups.
The example given on the site is with respect to the insurance industry. Two agents selling different types of insurance would be able to attend simply because they wouldn’t be competing for the same referrals. Overlap in areas of expertise is what that the North Metro Networking Association is trying to avoid more than anything else.
Since the chosen venue is going to be Coon Rapids’ Green Mill Restaurant, Ham Lake professionals can easily make the trip with business card printing in hand.
