The On The Run! Canine Center in Ham Lake will offer a course next February to help dogs learn positive behaviors.
Canine Good Citizen is a multiweek program where dogs can learn the necessary skills for completing the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen test. Dogs in the course will be taught how to politely greet other people and will develop a higher tolerance for being handled by strangers. The program can also reduce a pup's stress when separated from its owner and help dogs calmly react to distractions. The course will be taught by Leah Glynn.
The On The Run! Canine Center is an organization that was founded by Michelle Schwartzbauer, with Mike Teh as its current owner. The canine center offers many training programs, such as obedience classes, agility classes, and courses for puppies. The company holds dog-related seminars led by professional presenters and also hosts agility trials for several dog breeds each year.
The Canine Good Citizen class will be held from February 23 to March 23, 2023, and each session will begin at 6:30 pm. The cost to enter the program is $145 per dog. Only six canines will be allowed to attend the course. The organizers recommend that participating dogs complete a basic or intermediate obedience class before joining the program. Businesses with training courses like this may utilize flyer printing to market their lessons to customers.
