The Fairway Foundation will be organizing an event in Ham Lake where kids can play golf with adults.
Called “2 Adults & A Tiger,” it is a unique program where children and adults can play on the same teams during a friendly tournament at the Majestic Oaks Golf Club. Two adults will be paired with a child from the Fairway Foundation and will play Best Ball & Scramble formats. Participants can enjoy a banquet after the golfing tournament. Companies interested in supporting this competition can pay $150 to become a hole sponsor. The organizers can accept two sponsors per hole on the course.
The Fairway Foundation is a group comprised of volunteers that was formed in 1993 by people from three different golfing organizations, including the Minnesota Section of the PGA and the Minnesota Golf Association. The foundation exposes underrepresented populations to the sport of golf and provides scholarships to children in need. The organization uses golf to teach honesty, self-reliance, and integrity to the youths in the Twin Cities area.
The golfing competition will be on Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 am. Those interested in joining the tourney can pay $90. The fees for the foundation’s game will include access to golf carts. People must register for the tournament by August 11. Groups that hold golfing activities like this may use banner printing to advertise the competitions to locals.
