Ham Lake to debut holiday festival

Ham Lake will be debuting its first annual holiday event in December at the Crosstown Mall.

The 1st Annual Ham Lake Hometown Holiday is a community experience where families can enjoy seasonal activities at the Crosstown Mall’s green space. Visitors will get to meet with Santa Claus and his elves, work on holiday-inspired crafts projects, and watch festive movies inside the Gathering Room. The event will serve free hot chocolate and cider to guests, and a holiday lights display will activate at dusk. People may also give money to NACE during the festival.

One of the main attractions at the fest will be an alpaca petting area provided by Double S Alpacas. The business started in 2014 and currently sells alpacas that can be used for fiber or shown in competitions. The hometown holiday event will also feature a live performance and caroling from the Minnesota Boychoir. The nonprofit choir has been around for more than 60 seasons since it was founded in 1962 and headlined at the World Voices Australia International Choral Festival.

The seasonal fest will debut on Saturday, December 10 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There are no ticket prices or registration requirements to enter Ham Lake’s holiday festival. Communities that organize festive experiences such as this may use poster printing to advertise their upcoming hometown events to local consumers.
