The Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake will be debuting a new dinner theater show in November.
The Seasons Dinner Theater at Majestic Oaks has created a show for the holidays titled A Very Bayberry Christmas. The musical comedy experience is set in 1960 and follows the tale of Aunt Vee, a resident who is opposed to the town breaking away from its Christmas traditions. She is joined by Sheriff Sandy Gaylor, who is her nephew, along with deputy Bernie Rife. The show is a family-friendly event, though it is not recommended for children under six.
The show is produced by Patti Hynes-McCarthy and Thomas McCarthy. Hynes-McCarthy is the writer of the musical who graduated from the University of Minnesota at Morris and North Dakota State University. She began writing plays for the Seasons Dinner Theater in 1989. Her husband, Thomas, is the director of the musical. He also went to North Dakota State University and has taught at Anoka Ramsey Community College.
The Christmas musical will debut on November 26 and will continue until December 31. The cost of the experience is $29.95 for children aged 6-12. Adult tickets range from $53.95 to $63.95 depending on the date. The venue offers showtimes during lunch and dinner. Businesses that put together shows similar to this may use brochure printing to make programs for their audience members.
