Ham Lake event to benefit military kids

The MN National Guard Youth Camp will be organizing a fundraiser in Ham Lake to help children.

Tee It Up For The Kids is a charitable program where people can play golf to benefit youth with families in the military. The games will be played on the Majestic Lakes Golf Course. Other activities offered during the fundraiser include a banquet dinner, silent auction, and contests. Those who register for the event will also receive a golf cart to use during the golfing session. Attendees can meet up for a social hour once the games are finished.

The MN National Guard Youth Camp is an educational program where kids can receive a positive experience in a caring environment. The camp helps children cope with being separated from active military members and teaches campers about why people serve in the guard. The program offers archery, team-building exercises, swimming, and crafts. Campers also get to tour Camp Ripley’s Museum and see demonstrations of military vehicles.

The golfing fundraiser will be on Wednesday, August 10 and will begin at 9:30 am. The cost to attend the program is $110 per golfer. Those who want to only participate in the banquet can pay $34. Businesses can support the youth camp by sponsoring a hole on the course. Organizers for fundraisers similar to this may honor sponsors by utilizing banner printing to showcase their logos.
