Multiple studios throughout Ham Lake will be joining the North Artists StudioCrawl this April to showcase their artists and pieces.
The North Artists StudioCrawl is an event where numerous studios open their doors to the public and invite people to view demonstrations and purchase completed works of art. This year, there will be 35 host and guest artists included in the activity, featuring studios such as Becker Art Glass, Garden Treasures, and the Rum River Art Center. Several genres of art will be represented, including ceramics, watercolor paintings, jewelry, and acrylic pours.
Geri and Larry Retzlaff will be among the artists from Ham Lake participating in the North Artists StudioCrawl. Geri is an artist who is part of the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, working with fabrics and fiber to create textiles. Larry, her husband, works with acrylics and oils to produce abstract images. Together they make up the Third Life Studio located in the Q.arma Building. Artists like the Retzlaffs can produce Business Cards to network with potential clients.
The North Artists StudioCrawl will be held from April 4 to April 5. The event will be a free self-guided driving tour through Anoka County. The StudioCrawl will begin at 10:00 am and will end at 6:00 pm. A map for the experience can be viewed on the event’s website.
