Plymouth workshop to prepare gifts for Mom

Mother's Day is a few months away, but Plymouth residents will be able to give Mom a gift they have lovingly made by hand, and it will teach the basics of working with fused glass.

The workshop coming up in the area will be preparing fused glass flowers that may be displayed indoors or out, and all materials needed are included. No previous experience is required, and everyone can bring along a covered drink to sip on while they work.

The function has been planned for The Straight Farmhouse Museum, where there is parking on site. All instruction will be provided, and while glass cutters will be available, those who do not wish to use them can ask the instructor to complete this task for them. The activity is suitable for those age 10 and up, but kids will need to have an adult with them. The flowers will be fired in a kiln by the instructor, and will be available for pickup on a date supplied through email.

A workshop can provide a chance for those interested in a new hobby to give it a test drive. A flyer printing company can be a helpful partner in spreading the word about a class or other activity.

This chance for Plymouth people to make a special gift for mothers will be offered on Thursday, May 8. Tickets are $40 each.
