A century ago, the decade known as the Roaring ‘20s marked a significant culture change for the Plymouth area, and a local event will take a step back in time to that era.
The Plymouth Historical Museum has made plans to host a tea that will offer the atmosphere of the 1920s, and the fashion of the day will be on display during the afternoon. It will be curated by Pam Yockey, who is the museum’s clothing historian, and tickets start at $30 plus a listing fee.
The guests at the function will be treated to a special tea dubbed “Mary’s Blend,” and this will be accompanied by an assortment of sweet and savory dishes. Anyone who arrives ahead of its scheduled start time will be welcome to explore the museum’s “Roaring ‘20s” exhibit, and it was noted that this event has sold out quickly in previous years, so anyone who would like to take part is encouraged to book their seat early.
An activity like this is just one of the types of functions that may benefit from the services of a company that prepares Letterheads and other customized materials. It can craft Menus that have a period look and feel, which will no doubt aid in creating a historic atmosphere.
The Plymouth Historical Museum will begin seating guests for this afternoon tea at 1:50 pm on August 29. Service is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
