A well-loved tradition is set to hit the pavement in Plymouth, and fun and laughter will be the order of the day.
Everyone can get involved, whether they run, walk, roll or volunteer, and it is a day that will bring the community together.
The annual Shamrock Race is right around the corner, and registration is now open for the activity. The public who take part are welcome to wear a fun costume or even just a touch of green, and with traditional Irish music, it will offer a taste of The Emerald Isle close to home.
The runners, walkers and rollers will start at different times, depending on which race they choose. The schedule includes 10K, 5K, and half mile options, and the after party will keep the fun going for as long as possible. There will be a variety of age groups, and finisher's medal with a fun graphic design will be presented to those who participate in the 10K, 5K, and half mile runs.
To register to be a part of this annual tradition, the public is encouraged to visit the Shamrock Race website. It includes lots of information as well as an opportunity to learn about the jackets and other Promotional Products that will be distributed during this year’s run.
This chance for the public to be Irish for the day has been planned for March 8. It will be held in the community’s downtown, and everyone who takes part as a participant, spectator, sponsor or volunteer is asked to make a generous donation to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
