Plymouth will be celebrating its Irish heritage with a race, and along with the run, there will be a variety of other activities on offer.
The Shamrock Race will see participants test their mettle in 10K, 5K, half-miles, and also walking courses. It is being presented thanks to support from the Kona Running Company, and the participants are encouraged to really enter the spirit of the day by wearing a fun costume.
As well as the running or walking, the registrants will be able to enjoy an after party at the finish line, and here, they will be treated to pizza and light bites as well as beer or soda. There will be other fare available for purchase at the venue, and entertainment will be supplied by local bands.
An activity like this gives members of the community a chance to come together and have a great time, and finishers medals are often presented to the runners or walkers to recognize their accomplishments. Print shops can prepare a unique graphic design to use for this, which may also appear on the materials used to promote the activity in the local area.
This year's Shamrock Race will welcome the arrival of summer on June 13. The onsite registration kiosk will open at 6:45 am, and the first wave will hit the 10K course at 7:45 am.
