A Plymouth initiative that recognizes the fun and value of reading will be kicking off for another summer at the local library.
An activity that will combine the start of the library’s summer reading program with the grand opening of the Wilcox Amphitheater will take place in the community, and it will be filled with fun for all ages. Scheduled for a Saturday so as many people can attend as possible, it will include a free lunch.
The plans for the occasion will see the Community Band supply the entertainment, and at 12:00 pm, the ribbon cutting will take place. After this, the Plymouth Ukulele Group will show off their musical talents, and the kids can meet some new furry friends in the live animal program. A free hot dog lunch will round out the occasion, and while they have fun, the public can learn more about the summer reading program.
Special community events like this may call for custom decor, and Print shops will be happy to help. They can offer everything from printed bookmarks and other Promotional Products to full-size Banners and even vehicle wraps.
The Plymouth District Library will be hosting this opening to the summer reading season on Saturday, June 1, getting started at 11:30 am. The library can be found at 223 South Main Street.
