Plymouth area to host pop-up perennial plant sale

Plymouth gardeners who would like to add some new plants to their beds will be able to do so while helping to support a local demonstration garden.

The volunteers at Tollgate Garden will be holding a plant sale, and it will offer a wide selection of perennials to the public. Shoppers will need to reserve their timeslot, and these will each run for 30 minutes.

This rain or shine event will be filled with plants sourced from the gardens, and will include both seed-grown cultivars and ones sourced through root division. As they will have a local provenance, they will be well suited to the conditions that can be found in the area, and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and aid the shoppers in making their selections. Most of the items offered for sale will be potted up in five gallon containers and priced at $5 each.

Pop-up sales give not for profit groups a way to help fund their activities. Signage for these events can be sourced from a banner printing professional, and there is a wide selection of styles on offer.

The Michigan State University Tollgate Garden Volunteer Spring Plant Sale will be popping up at 28115 Meadowbrook Road in Novi on June 12 and 13. Both days will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and timeslots may be booked through its online listing.
