Winter is a time for Plymouth gardeners to dream about the days to come, and they may want to make plans now to attend a special event, even though it is still over six months away.
The annual Tollgate Plant Sale, which is a major fundraiser for the farm, will take place rain or shine next summer. The monies raised will be utilized in caring for the demonstration gardens and also for its extension programming, and there will be lots to browse through.
Guests can purchase an assortment of perennials grown in the area. This local focus is ideal for those who would like plants naturally suited to their garden, and there will be experienced volunteers on hand to answer questions and offer tips.
Both sun- and shade-loving perennials will be available during the sale, and many will be in one-gallon pots priced at $6 each. Those on the hunt for something special are advised to look for the signage that will help them find specialty plants and possible deals.
A pop-up plant or other sale may require signage and other custom-printed materials. This can be supplied by a poster printing company, and can be prepared so that it may be used for subsequent events.
The team at Tollgate Farm will be offering the public an opportunity to purchase plants on Saturday, June 1, 2024. It will open its gates to shoppers at 9:00 am.
