From Friday, May 4th until Sunday, May 6th, 2012 Downtown Plymouth will be hosting “The World is Going Green. You Coming?” This event will take place on Friday from noon to 7pm, Saturday from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
This is the 5th year that the Green Street Fair has run in downtown Plymouth. This event was founded as a way to educate people, of all ages, about the importance of organic, eco-friendly, and green services and products. At this fair there will be artisans, green companies, entertainment, speakers to help local families, as well as the community take small steps towards going green. Organizers believe that even these small steps can make a world of difference to the planet and the people on it. Last year this fair had approximately 90,000 visitors and over 200 exhibitors, which the organizers are hoping exceed last year’s totals, this year with higher attendance numbers and more exhibitors. Registration is currently underway for all exhibitors wishing to participate. Besides the exhibitor booths, there will also be live demonstrations and on-site product sales. Live entertainment, organic food vendors, and refreshments will be available.
