There seems to be something magical about listening to music outside in the summer, and Farmington Hills is making it possible.
The city has announced its schedule for the upcoming Summer Concerts at Heritage Park 2020. Concerts are free, and take place Thursday evenings at the grassy amphitheater in the park. Attendees should plan on bringing a lawn chair or blanket, as well as a picnic. Banner printing can be used to create attractive, sturdy decorations for outdoor events like this.
The schedule is currently:
• June 11 – the Farmington Community Band
• June 18 – Captured Detroit, a Journey tribute band. The band comprises five professional musicians from the Detroit area who perform all Journey's hits live.
• June 25 – Atomic Radio plays pop hits from several decades
• July 16 – High School Music
• July 23 – Sheila Landis & Brazilian Love Affair
• July 30 – FCH Big Band
• August 6 – The Whiskey Charmers playing authentic alternative country
• August 13 – Serieux Motown Temptations Review, a vocal group singing traditional soul music
• August 20 – Farmington Community Chorus
All the concerts begin at 7:00 pm, and are suitable for people of all ages. The schedule may change, so people interested in the series should check with the city for any modifications. If the weather refuses to cooperate, the concert will move indoors to the Costick Center.
