Farmington Hills, like many other communities, has art on display as part of its Public Art Program, and the city is once again inviting professional artists to submit their work for possible showing around the city as part of the Public Art Program.
The artists can work in any medium they choose, whether they are painters, sculptors, metal workers, or something else. Those entries chosen will be on display for two years in the City Hall, where visitors will be able see them every day.
Farmington Hills is looking for both indoor and outdoor sculpture, relief works, and two-dimensional pieces as well. Interested artists may send in as many as eight entries, as either CDs or JPEG files. Those works chosen for display will be revealed in January, 2015, at a reception to be held for the winners before a city council meeting. The artworks will be spotlighted on the Farmington Hills website and in news releases, while a printed guide to prices will also be available.
Farmington Hills officials might consider working with a poster printing company to create colorful display Posters to put in windows in the downtown, announcing the contest.
Applications are available on the city's website. All artists are encouraged to apply, and need not reside in Farmington Hills to take part in the exhibition.Get a Free Quote for Posters
