Major service providers such as Consumers Energy and DTE Energy also rank among the largest taxpayers in these municipalities. Property taxes provide funding for various essential services, including local schools, municipal services, and certain county services.

Oakland Management Corporation, also recognized as Beztak Properties, holds the top position in tax contributions within Farmington Hills. According to fiscal year tax records, the company contributed $1,250,348. Oakland Management possesses a retail park, two office complexes, and two apartment buildings in Farmington Hills. The company also possesses numerous senior living locations, apartments, and retail spaces across the United States, with the majority of its properties located in Michigan and the metropolitan Detroit area. Companies could use brochure printing to list all of their assets under management.

Consumers Energy and DTE Energy occupy the next two spots, with payments of $626,158 and $691,739 respectively.

The Nissan Corporation is the sole exception on the city's tax records. The company operates a technical center located on Sunrise Drive. Nissan ranks as the eighth-largest taxpayer in Farmington Hills, contributing $320,082. All of the other significant contributors to the city's tax revenue are entities involved in real estate and housing development.
