Farmington Hills organization holds successful fundraiser

Sweet Dreamzzz, a nonprofit organization based in Farmington Hills, had a successful fundraiser recently. According to an October 22, 2015 news item, the nonprofit is dedicated to improving children's health, and held its 13th “A Night to R.E.M.ember” fund-raising event at The Dearborn Inn. The organization raised more than $70,000 for its programs in sleep education. The “R.E.M.” in the event's title stands for “Rest. Educate. Motivate.”

Some of the event's highlights included a live auction, a silent auction, a game of Heads or Tales, a tasty gourmet dinner, and dancing, with DJ Elrico Shelton hosting. In addition, Andrew Campbell, an Eagle Scout, was presented with the Susan M. Fezzey Award of Excellence.

Sponsors of the event included TriMas Corporation, Bosco's Pizza Company, Huntington Bank, Tier One Marketing, Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, and Watch Me Grow Pediatrics. Other sponsors included Arrow Strategies, Design Systems Inc., BDO USA LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, McCarthy & Smith, Inc., Deloitte, ARC, Drew Besonson, Hirotec America Inc., Rehman Robson, and The Mulberry Silk Company.

Sweet Dreamzzz will host their next R.E.M. Event on November 10, 2015, a Tuesday, at WHRC Elementary School, located in Pontiac. The program will help 650 students in grades K through 6 who are at risk.

Sweet Dreamzzz officials might consider working with a poster printing company to create Posters advertising the next event, to post throughout the area.
