The carnival is coming to Farmington Hills for the 10th year in a row, and residents are gearing up to enjoy themselves.
The Family Fun Fest Carnival first came to Farmington Hills a decade ago, and has returned every year since, bringing games, a petting farm, pony rides, and above all, safe attractions to the area.
According to Bryan Farmer, who is with the Fun Fest, the carnival is appropriate for all ages, but care has been taken to make certain young children can enjoy their first experience with a carnival. Rides are designed to give them just a “taste of spinning”, and they can also try foods they have never had before. In addition to rides and games, every day brings special events and a number of free performances that take place on the carnival's stage.
The carnival will set up in Founders Sports Park on West Eight Mile Road, from August 20 to 23. Parking and admission are free, and carnival rides are $1 each, or $18 for wristband that allows visitors unlimited rides. On August 20 and 21, the carnival is open from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. On the 22nd, hours are from noon to 11:00 pm, and on the 23rd, hours are noon to 9:00 pm.
Event planners could work with a banner printing company to create colorful flags to add to the fun.
