The Farmington Author & Book Festival (FAB Fest) is on its way in a few weeks’ time.
Taking place every year to honor the literary contributions of Michigan, this festival is held in conjunction with the Art on the Grand Fair. Arranged by KickstART Farmington and Farmington Community Library, FAB Fest wants to make a stronger link between Michigan authors and the people who read their work.
The program of this festival includes many free activities like book readings, signings and discussions, and talking about them, catering to everyone from casual readers to those who study literature seriously. Printing services are used to create hard Copies of Books at this sort of event.
One main element of FAB Fest is the book market, which allows visitors to search for and buy Books from local authors and publishers. The festival also provides workshops that give useful suggestions and views about how to write well, as well as tips on publishing.
The 2024 festival will have Carolyn Forché as the keynote speaker. She is an acclaimed poet who has received numerous awards and gained fame for her advocacy efforts, including coining the phrase "poetry of witness."
The Farmington Author & Book Festival (FAB Fest) and Art on the Grand Fair will be at Memorial Park in Downtown Farmington Hills on Saturday, June 1st.
