The Grand Art Market, a family-friendly event, is set to take place in Lansing City Market on Saturday, August 18 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Over 20 merchants call the Market their home since its reconstruction that strengthened the corridor of Lansing’s downtown, which is a short drive from Farmington Hills. Located at 325 City Market Drive in Lansing, Michigan, the City Market will host the Grand Art Market for the second year. There will be displays by local artists that include whimsical iron art, paintings, and photography, along with fun activities for the kids and live musical entertainment for all ages. Patrons will have the opportunity to purchase all types of art pieces while enjoying the day with their family.
Some of the regular outdoor merchants will be set up, as well as some of the best artists from the area. An assortment of art will be displayed from decorative pottery to bottle cap jewelry. Print companies will possibly be used for promotion of the art event, perhaps through banner and flyer printing.
Activities will be provided for the kids, with a mosaic project from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, while musical entertainment will be offered with Annalise Emerick from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and Brad Maitland from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Visitors can spend the day relaxing with a stroll along the Grand River and experience all of the activities, including fresh Michigan produce.
