Coldwater residents who are excited for autumn’s arrival will have plenty of time to celebrate over the next month with the return of the town’s famed locomotive ride.
The Pumpkin Train has officially announced its return to Coldwater to kick off the spooky season in style, and families and community members are invited to hop on board. The Little River Railroad is organizing the event, which will double as an opportunity for visitors to pick out decorative gourds and find ideal pumpkins for carving.
The pumpkins and gourds will be available at the Quincy Platform, which is also where the train ride will embark from. Guests can also get into the autumn season by enjoying fresh apples and apple cider, which will be available for purchase with cash at nearby Showcase Gardens & Landscaping. The event will run across five successive weekends, providing plenty of opportunity for Coldwater families to fit a visit into their schedule. Attendees are asked to check and dress for the forecasted weather, and arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled embarkation.
The Coldwater station at 29 West Park Avenue will be the meeting place for interested individuals and families. The Pumpkin Train will make its first departure on Saturday, September 27th, at 1:00pm. Tickets cost $22 per adult and $15 per child online.
