Womens empowerment group to host event in Waldorf

The Love Lucent Organization will hold a conference in April at the Pure Elegance Event Space in Waldorf.

Spilling The Tea is an event where women can hear experienced speakers discuss mental health and self-love. The panelists at the conference will include a chef, business consultant, and life coach. Attendees will receive food from the venue and will get to drink tea and mimosas. Those who participate in the event are expected to share stories with other guests. Business owners who want to showcase their brands at the tea party can pay $45 for a vendor space with a chair and table.

The Love Lucent Organization is a women’s empowerment group that was created in 2021 by Latasha Currie. The community outreach organization offers many programs for children and teens, such as etiquette classes, financial literacy lessons, and public speaking workshops. The group also created a big sister, little sister mentorship program called Diamonds & Pearls. Children ages 8-16 can take part in the organization’s entrepreneur workshops.

The mental health and self-love conference will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Admission to the teatime event will cost guests $30, though discounts are available to those who buy their tickets before April 6th. Outreach organizations that host similar conventions to this may use flyer printing to promote their events.
