Waldorf welcomes back child-friendly pet seminar

The Humane Society of Charles County will once again be returning to Waldorf in January, and this event is intended to address the relationships between humans, and cats.

The Fantastic Felines seminar will teach children about the unique behaviors of cats, and how these animals have become an integral part of modern society. The main goal is to make learning fun, and to encourage each child to actively participate in the discussions. All attendees will be provided with a handmade craft, and a snack. However, parents are asked to provide a bag lunch.

Fantastic Felines is one of a series of educational seminars sponsored by the Humane Society of Charles County, and KIND (Kids in Nature's Defense). Other previous topics included the types of winter birds living in Charles Country, and basic animal safety tips. Future events will cover how children can contribute to sustainability, and showing kindness to misunderstood creatures.

Educational events will use a wide range of marketing techniques to inform potential participants. Employing nearby printing services to create Flyers, producing banner advertisements, and working with local school districts are some proven approaches.

Fantastic Felines is taking place Saturday, January 10th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the KIND Club located at 71 Industrial Park Drive. Tickets cost $25, although it is possible to purchase an annual membership package for $160. This includes free entrance to all events.
