Waldorf library to hold after-hours comedy show

A local improv group will be performing at the Waldorf West Branch Library in August for teens and adults.

Library After Hours: Improv Comedy Show is an event where audience members can see a live performance by the Baltimore Improv Group. The show is completely unscripted and will change depending on what suggestions are offered by the audience. The intended ages for the improv performance are 16 and up, and no reservations are required to watch the comedy show. The mission of the group is to increase the appreciation of improv comedy in the Baltimore area through education and participation.

The Baltimore Improv Group is an organization created in 2004 by Mike Subelsky. The group currently has more than 100 performers and has provided instruction to more than 500 individuals. Many publications have penned stories about the organization, such as The Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Business Journal, and Paste Magazine. People can take many classes with the group on subjects like scene work, group games, and improv games.

The improv show will be on Friday, August 4 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Guests do not have to purchase tickets to see the performance. The doors to the library will open at 6:45 pm. Those in charge of live shows such as this may use flyer printing to let more people know about the performances in advance.
