Waldorf community invited to multicultural convention

This February, the Waldorf community is invited to a three-day convention designed to celebrate multicultural enthusiasts and entertainment.

The Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center opened in 2008 as a mixed-use property of office, residential, and retail spaces. It will host the upcoming Katsucon 2025.

Katsucon is a three-day fan convention designed to celebrate Japanese animation, society, and traditional and popular culture. With a wide range of programs planned throughout the convention, there is something for everyone, including specialized panels and workshops for kids. Panels focused on Japanese and anime culture and Japanese fashion can also be found. Visitors can also get a bit more hands-on with a dedicated karaoke space and a wide range of tabletop games, video games, tournaments, and demos.

To bring events like this one to life, a wide range of printing services is required to help transform a standard convention into a space dedicated to Japanese culture. Sometimes, backdrops are also printed to help transform the space into something else. With careful planning, event organizers can transform a standard convention center into a unique space.

Katsucon will be held from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16 at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center, located at 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, Maryland. Additional information regarding registration can be found on the event website.
