A chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity will be holding a talent show in March at St. Charles High School in Waldorf.
Talent Hunt is an event created by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Tau Lambda Lambda Chapter where children and teens can showcase their skills to family and friends. Students can perform any talent so long as it is school appropriate. Those who represent the chapter at the District Talent competition in Pittsburgh must choose a skill that falls into one of four traditional categories – music, dance, dramatic interpretation, and visual art.
Students also have the option to submit a video to the Talent Hunt. The submissions can either feature a cast or a solo performer and should be six minutes or shorter. The videos may be a skit, documentary, interview, or short film. Students are not allowed to submit professionally recorded videos to the competition, and the audio and visuals of the submission must be clear. The organizers want the resolution of the video to be at least 1080p.
The Talent Hunt show will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There is no fee to watch the participants showcase their talents, though seats may be reserved in advance. Organizations interested in coordinating performance contests like this may promote their events with poster printing.
