Free Derby in December returns

The Kentucky Derby Museum has announced that it will once again offer Derby in December, an event that premiered in 2023.

This year’s event will be a combined effort of the Kentucky Derby Festival, Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum and will be an all-day, free-admission event. Part of the draw of the event will be the unveiling of a brand-new exhibit featuring pictures taken by well-respected photographer Dan Dry. Dry, is noted for having recorded in pictures almost 50 Derbies.

Other highlights of the event will be complimentary Derby-themed activities, snacks, holiday shopping, kid-friendly activities, and a variety of interactive experiences.

Banner printing services help organizers evoke a festive air in addition to directing event attendees.

The Kentucky Derby Festival will be on hand to share previews of next year’s Derby season's events with the main feature being the debut of the 2025 Pegasus Pin; plus, exclusive opportunities to buy 2025 Derby event tickets. As an added bonus, the first 100 attendees of Derby in December will receive commemorative gifts.

The all-day party takes place from 9 am to 5 pm December 3 and promises to be a unique winter Derby experience. Regardless of whether they can attend or not the organizers are encouraging everyone to use #DerbyInDecember to share their Derby memories and pictures on social media.
