Golfers who are looking for an additional reason to hit the links this summer will want to make a note in their Journals, as a new golf tournament is set to tee off in Erlanger.
The Erlanger Open, which is being presented by Sterling Cut Glass, is opening registration to local golfers who wish to try their luck and show off their skill this summer. It will be the inaugural event in what organizers hope to make a staple of the summer months in town, with residents and visitors both invited to sign up.
The tournament will allow players to participate in a nine-hole bucket golf competition. Spots are limited, and organizers expect them to fill up quickly. Print shops can help event sponsors and organizers connect with golfers and spectators by displaying their name and logo around the course and at different holes.
Other sponsors for the inaugural tournament include Erlanger Putt-Putt, Coca-Cola Consolidated, BMW, and Fabled Brew Works. Players can sign up by themselves or as part of a group of four golfers. The tournament will double as an active way for participants to celebrate Father's Day.
Silverlake Park, located at 110 Division Street in Erlanger, will host the bucket golf tournament on Saturday, June 20 starting at noon. Interested golfers can sign up online to secure their spots.
