Bowling enthusiasts in Erlanger who want to take a break from shopping for and wrapping gifts will want to save the date, as a tournament has been announced.
The Christmas 10 Game Marathon, which will be hosted by Strike & Spare Erlanger, is opening registration to local bowlers who want to hit the lanes with friends and family next month. The field is open to 72 bowlers who will be registered on a first come, first served basis with the opportunity to win cash prizes.
One in every five bowlers will receive a cash payout for their efforts and skills. The marathon’s handicap has been set at 80% of 225 based on each participant’s average scores from the 2024-2025 bowling season. Competitors will bowl five games while skipping two pairs to the right, followed by a 20-minute break to rehydrate and refresh. After the break, participants will resume with five games before skipping two pairs to the right again. The tournament has been sanctioned, and all United States Bowling Congress rules will be followed.
Strike & Spare Erlanger will host the bowling marathon on Sunday, December 21. The doors open at 8:00 AM, and the bowling will begin at 9:00 AM. Registration is $100 per bowler.
