The Northern Kentucky History Day: America250 Celebration will be coming to Erlanger this May, providing visitors and area residents with the chance to learn more about the town’s and surrounding area’s history. Historians and local experts will handle presentations and discuss their areas of expertise with those in attendance.

The event will start with a segment on Mourning in Kentucky, which will be followed by a presentation on the Revolutionary War Soldiers from Boone County. Families and friends are encouraged to attend to build a stronger connection and understanding of Erlanger’s history. The last segment will cover the role that German immigrants played in the American Revolution, before segueing into the Kenton County Historical Society High School Essay Contest’s winners, at which point the readers will share.

The historical celebration is scheduled to being at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 16th, at the Kenton County Library in Erlanger. Registration is open online, and the event is free to the public.
