Locals will celebrate a new event this September, with the launch of Erlanger’s Summer Sendoff.
The new, family-friendly occasion will incorporate the best features of the traditional Heritage Day festival, with several creative additions designed to showcase the best of the local community.
Erlanger’s Summer Sendoff will launch as an art and music festival, featuring vendors with arts and crafts booths, live music performances by GenX, The Bronson Arroyo Band, and the Moonshine Drive. Kids activities will include craft stations and several bounce houses. Sweet and savory treats will be available for purchase from local food trucks. Contests open to all will include pie-eating competitions. The Cincinnati Circus will perform aerial shows every 30 minutes throughout the day, and Silverlake Recreation has sponsored a firework show to conclude the event in the evening.
The new event has been organized by the City of Erlanger, but several sponsors are still needed to ensure its success. Sponsorship packages include company features on the festival’s Flyers, Brochures, Posters, and Banners, as well as social media posts and on event T-Shirts. Professional printing services are usually called upon to create Print materials and merchandise for resale at festivals like this.
There are still vendor booths available for this festival as well. Small business owners with food, drink, and merchandise are invited to complete the online registration form. Interested vendors are asked to contact Jessica Fette, at the City of Erlanger for additional information.
The 1st annual Erlanger’s Summer Sendoff will be held on Saturday, September 18, from 2:00 to 10:00 PM, at Silverlake Park located at 110 Division Street.
